What classical language(s) would you learn?

For me it would be Sanskrit, pali and for some reason old javanese.

I teach Latin, so that's one already covered; I'd like to also learn Old English though.

Maybe Classical Chinese (Literary Chinese) or Middle Chinese.

I wish I knew Sanskrit, just because it'd make learning Hindi much easier! And I could do all sorts of historic research which would be awesome. I'd love to know Latin and Greek for their historic utility as well.

Interesting question. I study Arabic, but Classical Arabic is not that different from the Modern Standard variety so I'd probably go for some version of Amharic or Akkadian or maybe even Egyptian instead.

Hmmmm. I don't really know that many classical languages. Maybe like the old Norse language(s)? I'm not sure how different they are from languages like Norwiegen and Swedish though.
