Unlicensed lawyer passes for a decade

Woman convicted of working for decade as unlicensed attorney claimed she obtained law degree from Duquesne University

HUNTINGDON, Pa. - A former president of a county bar association has been convicted of using forged documents to pose as an estate lawyer for a decade even though she didn't have a law license. Kimberly Kitchen was convicted Thursday on charges of forgery, unauthorized practice of law and felony records tampering in Huntingdon County.

She convinced everyone she was a lawyer, including the lawyers she was working with. This either says something impressive about her abilities, or something very disappointing about the value of law school and the bar exam.
