Leader notifications just got WAY WAY better for all of you, and I'm not even exaggerating

Okay, we have a lot of updates for you today that will hopefully make your lives WAY easier. Let's dive right in!

Expanded leader notifications

Previously, we had a lot of leader notifications that were missing—some you only got an email (like new posts in your community, since you didn't have the ability to turn site notifications on and off and we didn't want to spam you), some you only got a site notification, and some you didn't get any (like reported posts/comments) because we were relying on the notification counter on your dashboard icon, but since that's not easily visible on mobile (or at all on the apps!), we've now added notifications for ALL THE THINGS!!

For all leader notifications, there is now an in-app/on-site, email, and push notification version of all the things you need to know.

Sound like that might get a little bit spammy? Well, here's the even better part...

Managing community-specific notification settings

For each community you lead, you can now choose which notifications you get. So if you want to make sure you get notified of every post from the smaller, more obscure community you lead but don't want to get overwhelmed for the communities that get tons of activity? Done. Only want to hear about reported posts & comments and help desk requests? Easy. Want to get notified on the site but not via email? Okay! You can manage it all in your account notification settings.

Why am I suddenly being overwhelmed with notifications??

Even though some of these notifications existed previously, this is an entirely brand new notifications settings structure that we've created. There are also a large number of them that didn't exist before now. So that means we didn't have a good way of mapping and guessing who would want what. And since community leaders are the most important parts of defining the culture of community on Imzy, we wanted to make sure you were in the loop as much as possible to help your communities grow in the right way. That means that by default, we've turned on all these notifications, and you'll need to change these to your preferences. I know this will be inconvenient for you and may cause some temporary email flooding for which I apologize in advance, but hopefully the huge amount of flexibility and customization you now have will be worth it.

Seriously, @Erin deserves so much love from all of you. This has been many weeks in the making, with a huge amount of work and a lot of gnarly code untangling (and also debugging lots of other notification things to make sure people are getting the notifications they asked for and not ones they don't want, etc.).
