A community for leaders on the Imzy platform.
What are your favorite leader tools right now? What is one tool you're dying to see in the future?
My favorite so far has been scheduled posts, which I didn't at all expect to be my fav.
Especially for early stage communities, it can be hella useful! It was a big reason why I was able to get the /reads community off the ground, because I could schedule stuff to post without having to worry about it. This is great for that initial period where you're struggling to keep a community active.
Haven't used scheduled posts yet and not sure how? You can find it at the bottom of the "create post" page. There's a little bit that says "options" that can pop out like this:

After that, I'll see the post at the top of my community, as "scheduled" (don't worry, it doesn't show up for other people!). Then I can go party 💃 for the weekend without worrying about my community being dead the whole time. 🎊
So what about you? What is your fav? What is your future fav that you can't wait to see?

I love the dashboard metrics. Really nice to have useful visual analytics :)
As a lazy and pretty much hands-off leader I love stickies, post & sticky once and forget about the future. I have only used a single sticky, I don't even remember what other things I can do and if I have to delete something I'll have to discover how to do that. I prefer to be a regular user most of the time, even in the community I created.
You can remove stuff through the "..." menu under comments and posts :)
That's good to know, thanks, I'm lucky I haven't got any spam post yet.
I really like polls and creating post-tags.
for the future I would like to have these a bit improved though: being able to re-order poll options (drag&drop) in the edit modus and being able to click on a post tag to view results of all posts with that tag (also as a non-leader).
Oh, and pinned posts are great :)
.
Oooh I like this idea!
I think this is totally in the works. :D
What sort of use cases are you seeing for polls? Are you mostly just using it for fun stuff? Are you getting positive community feedback from using them?
For fun or because I am really curious about something. I am currently trying to figure out how many people in the tattoo group actually have a tattoo. So far most who participated don' have one (participation would need to be higher though to really find out if that is true haha). But if it really were the case I would probalby post more beginner-relevant content.
In general I believe it is a good tool to get people active. Even though it's "only" a click, it's an easy interaction in case someone is not in the mood for a long-winded comment at that moment. I am assuming members are likely to take part in a quick poll.
Edit: and cool that the tag-thingy is in the works.
I like how simple and clean the UI is for removing a post, and that we're not having to go through and manually approve every post. also, the fact that giving a reason for removing a post is simple and automatically notifies the user.
only tool i'd like to see in the future would be some kind of tag cloud or tag selection area so people visiting your zee can click tags they might be interested in and see all posts with that tag. as it is now, the tag system seems to be not much more than labels. i like 'em, of course, because you can clearly define what type of content is appropriate for your community. but that's about the only use i've found.
