Whovians, weigh in: Capaldi says Doctor Who isn't "being looked after" by the BBC. Do you agree?
Peter Capaldi Says BBC Has Faltered in Treatment of DOCTOR WHO | Nerdist
For a show that's not going to be on the air until Christmas, and then not again until Spring of 2017, Doctor Who and its creative personnel sure are in the news a lot lately. And perhaps with good reason.

The show in its current iteration has been around since 2005, and Peter Capaldi says it may have lost its way a bit, but that it may be getting back on track.

This quote, in particular, is a dead giveaway that they're pushing an unreasonable production schedule and not giving them enough money or support :( - "sewhere in the interview, Capaldi discussed Moffat’s departure and how the series takes it out of people, to the point where it’s hard to take care of one’s own health. “He loves this job so I think it’s very, very difficult for him to leave. But I think he has to, otherwise he might have a heart attack.”"
I think he's right. The show is in pretty desperate need of some fresh writers. I loved their first few plot arcs but lately Doctor Who is feeling far too formulaic for my taste. And this is tough for me to say because I love Capaldi as a Doctor!
