Elly & The Divine Croissant!

Elly & The Divine Croissant!

In NYC, we went to Maison Kayser, which was a very pretty cafe with a bakery attached. You could wind around the back and see a baker making dough!

It felt like being in Paris!

The wait staff wore black and white striped shirts, and I had worn a black and white striped shirt, so I looked like I belonged there!

The cafe had a most amazing breakfast, and amazing espresso! I got an iced americano and it came in a large glass and was perfectly sweet and balanced! It was delightful.

It looked like this.

But this story is about THE CROISSANT.

We got a chocolate croissant. I did not know what I expected-- something delicious and wonderful, of course. But I did not know that a croissant could be sooooooo good! It was handmade, which is a very complicated process, involving many thin layers of pastry (I hear). And it tasted like caramelized butter, and the chocolate was rich dark chocolate.

I'm not giving this croissant enough justice. This croissant was the most beautiful thing I've ever eaten. Oh my God.

It was like heaven on a plate! Each layer was a little ecstasy! I'm still in awe over it. I didn't know a simple chocolate croissant could be so divinely blissful ❤

That's the story of The Croissant.

It's pretty simple.

I want another ;)
