oh, i love metal lyrics. xd
good choices
I have an almost unending supply of stupidly heavy shit I've heard over the years, but those two I thought might be less known of the first that came to mind
https://youtu.be/1hvZt93Vcqw something I actually enjoy because it mixes melody with heavy
https://youtu.be/b41h1HQ1nGI
huh, reminds me of Legion Of The Damned
Well let us see if I can share this without being criticised. It's not very heavy, in the musical sense at least. I would like to point out it is a 24 year old song though, so the message it was giving would make more sense then https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GkoX4MHQSdI
Actually, having just listened to the lyrics again myself, it's pretty poignant still today, perhaps more so in some respects
mhmm, still relevant today, given the current political climate in the states... but i digress
most of the time i don't really pay much attention to lyrics, but i do enjoy me some good songwriting from time to time. see: blind guardian, manticora
Well what is interesting about that song, is that it couldn't be made now without being massively criticised by the people who would have once supported the message, even though it was definitely made with diversity in mind. The chorus "nigger, nigger nigger nigger nigger nigger" was (in the context of the song) intended as desensitising the negative meaning of the word too.
Pig Destroyer were such an underrated grind band, really good lyrics and weird song structures for a grind band. Were my favourite for ages! Good choice!

gojira's always good
Jesus lizard - monkey trick Jesus lizard - then comes Dudley
I always love me some Rage against the machine https://youtu.be/AbGJeXShopk
mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Warning: SUPER hardcore.

hah, i thought that was going to be a Slayer parody from the title

(Fwiw, that album is 2heavy4me, but Boris makes excellent songs that are a bit more approachable as well: try (and that's for everyone) eg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vPID_JdAXaQ & https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_13LkpknJK4)
this is not bad but i need my riffs bro
There are riffs, they just last for 15 minutes
i can't dispute that. :p
Yes!! Heavy Rocks is still one my favourite albums ever, and absolutego was some good fun.
Woah, I did not expect to find people who know them here. Heavy Rocks, Smile and Pink are probably my favourite albums, but I actually also like the new material, even if it's quite far from the older stuff. I saw them live on one of the Pink 10th anniversary tour gigs after missing their first live show here (Finland) almost a decade ago (I was too young) last year, and they were so good!
Hello fellow Boris fan! Pink was a fantastic album, definitely one of my favourites . I've seen them live a few times and even though I haven't really kept up with their new stuff they are still great to see! The anniversary gigs had some great setlists too. Do you listen to much more japanese rock/metal stuff at all?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=anFP7xnthg0 Star Wars doom that's so heavy you'll come out flat!
I haven't listened to metal in ages so this has been a fun thread and I think I might spend the day with some old favourites.
