Good morning! Do you like sunrises?

I can never get up for them unless I have to, but maybe, just maybe, if it looked like THIS one! :)

Tell us about your favorite sunrise spots!

Well I woke up at three today and the sun still hasn't risen. Woo target

    • PipsyOct 05, 2016 at 5:18 PM

      Three?! 😱

      • EilisOct 05, 2016 at 5:19 PM

Haha, yes, I took a 4 AM - 8 AM "hang up clothes" shift at Target. Which is super easy, but also super pointless. People dig through the clothes and toss them everywhere!

Ah, I sympathise! Everyone I know who has ever worked at stores selling affordable clothes spends at least half their working hours re-folding, re-hanging and re-organising literally everything in the store. At least there's money to be had at the end!

I get up everyday before sunrise to pray, so I almost always get to see it (unless I go back to sleep before the sunrise).

One time, I was out fishing with my brother and father at night, and then morning came around, and it was the most magical thing. To see the world awakening, the dew on the grass, the soft glow on the clouds, the squeak of the bats being replaced with the morning songs of the birds; It was all so magical.

I don't like sunsets, but sunrises are something truly incredible.

Yes. In the winter I see them often, because it's still dark when I leave for work. I find it strangely pleasant to ride the bus to work as it slowly gets brighter outside.

There's a window at the indoor pool in my community, where if you're swimming during sunrise the entire pool gets lit up by the sun. It's great to look underwater then.

      oh, wow!

On top of Mt.Fuji. It was breathtaking.

I'm always up before the sun for work, and then I'm inside working until noon, so I don't see the sunrise.

  • LeianajadeOct 05, 2016 at 8:16 PM

Man, I love sunrises. But I'm never up for them unless we're on a road trip.

  • PipsyOct 05, 2016 at 5:21 PM

I used to work (super long) night shifts so the sunrise always meant only a few more hours until I could finally go home. I rarely saw any breathtakingly beautiful ones to be honest, but I do really like the way that black turns to dark blue to misty grey and it genuinely feels like the world around you is slowly waking.

    • EilisOct 05, 2016 at 5:22 PM

      that is so true (:

If I'm lucky, I'm taking a nap at sunrise. Being up all night is tiring!

My favorite sunrise spot is the edge of York Minster. Haven't seen it in years and years.
