Let's talk about Imzy and LGC!
Were you here from near the begining?
How has Imzy (or LGC - or any other community) changed at all?
How has it stayed the same?
Where do you think it's going?
:)

I joined recently.
I am really really optimistic about Imzy. It reminds me of reddit early on, back when they cared.
What killed reddit was massive growth plus selling out repeatedly (figuratively and literally)
From what I see, the founders and many users here seem to have a good idea of what went wrong with reddit (and Digg) and are keen to "keep it real" so to say, and to concentrate on building the place right.
This is quite inspiring and I have to confess I'm excited, really excited. I think there's amazing potential here.
I find communities interesting. I feel they tend to have a particular tone or feel, and new members either match this or leave.
In this case the tone or feel is one of caring, sharing, making things better.
Frankly, if I invented a new community platform, this is exactly what it would be.
My only concern would be how well Imzy scales and how they can retain their humanity. Again, from the way the founders and early users behave, I feel very optimistic.
Where is Imzy going?
Good places. I see it becoming the platform tool of choice for meaningful communities.
I don't see it becoming reddit or digg (that's a good thing!) in a mass market sense, but I do see it becoming quite large and popular in the right places.
I was invited by greenie back in late April - we met in a Hillary Clinton chatroom. At first I was a lurker and didn't participate, but by July I had decided that I wanted to participate.
While I haven't been here for that long, I have noticed that it's been growing very rapidly and yet not changing for the worse in any way as many websites do when they get too big. I hope that this continues, and when the floodgates open and this site goes public, we won't lose our identity because of it. I'm a Reddit refugee (and I used to be indistinguishable from the stereotypical Redditor, even) and I would hate to see that happen.
First poster gets a sticker!!!
LGC has always been great. :3
On day one, I was clueless and couldn't find the buttons. I made a post on /imzy saying, "help, I have no idea what i'm doing. i just want to idle chat with people." I even started my own discord server with half a dozen people just so we could have a place to chit chat.
Luckily, someone pointed me in the direction of LGC, "there's a community perfect for you. /lets_grab_coffee" Eilis specifically, and the rest of the community when i finally posted, greeted me with open arms.
Cereally, yous guys are great. I like how things are growing, evolving, and changing with all new people.

Hee!
I think this site will be awesome. It already is. Haven't been here for that long.
Hooray!
Yay!
eeeee
Lol
Hi! This is my first post here -- I've been lurking for a while but I think LGC is pretty great! I like how it's gotten weirder as it's grown. Not by my influence, mind you, since -- as I pointed out -- I've just been a lurker here. But there is a whimsical nature to this space that I cotton to.
Okay, goodbye,
