Thursday Diary!
Okay, post a comment with the first thing you think when you wake up in the morning...
And then later, the last thing you think as you go off to bed...
This should be intriguing.

Gotta like the way you think!
First thing: Fine! Everyone get off me. Yes! Stop stepping on my face. Downstairs! Come on you fuzzy monsters, you know what time it is! It's breakfast time! -- I have three cats. An older male, and two juveniles, a male and female. Mornings at 6:30am are... rollicking. They don't really get on my case unless they see that my eyes are open, then it's open season.
Last thing: If I can keep a drowsy mindset, sleep is quick. However that is somewhat rare. Usually the last thing is my mind, which five minutes before was ready to conk out now suddenly wants to plan and spin on and on about the next days plan of things I have to do at work or around the house.
Eeeeeee fuzzy monsters!!!
Morning: I'm so tired........5 more minutes.......
Night: Conversations I've had here. Meeting people. Potential futures.
Yay, imzy in the night routine!
Coffee
Whiskey
First thing in the morning: "oh god is it really 5am? Eff my life..."
Last thing at night: "WORRY ABOUT ALL THE THINGS! Lizzie stop worrying about things you can't do anything about it's the middle of the night! WORRY MORE! Staaaahp."
Oh gosh haha
Okay.. First thing in the morning is: "should I have coffee? No, it's too humid. Oh, iced coffee! No coffee made. I'll get a red bull. I wonder who's working right now."
Last thing before bed is worrying about bills. :(
This got sad.
:(
Solution... a nighttime drink!
You've read my mind!
What's your answer? :)
Let's see...
Morning, either: what??? Oh... thank God no work snooze
Or: NOooooOoo please no!!!!
Night: I usually think about characters I've been writing for until I fall asleep!
You're a writer??
Yes!
I'm trying to self publish something soon.
Are you a writer too? :)
I would like to be. I'd love to make a living from it, I'm just not sure I have the skills. Any advice?
I'm not making a living from it yet, but I've been writing a very long time. Advice is to just start, and keep writing, writing, writing! Don't stop writing!
I also think it's good to write what's fun for YOU, not what you think will sell. That's the only way the passion will come through in the writing.
My (controversial) advice is also not to go to school for creative writing. Was a waste of time and money. But others might have different opinions on that.
I'm not sure how to word this, I may sound silly. Where does one 'sell' something they've written? Would it depend on what it is?
It probably does depend! What do you write?
I write novels, so I'm trying to self publish on Amazon. That's what I know the most about.
I like self publishing because you just can't get a manuscript read by a busy publishing house these days. And I'm a bit of a control freak anyway, with creative stuff
Oh you might like /miniature_literature !
@heybranden
I'm not sure to be honest. Definitely nonfiction, along the lines of Into the Wild, so I suppose investigative journalism?
Hmm
Yes I don't know much about that
Magazines?
Perhaps starting your own community on imzy could be a good way to promote your writing!
You could try to sell your content to blogs and magazines then. Start posting some of it somewhere so you have a portfolio if you haven't already.
To be honest it's kind of a newer thing for me. I have a lot of notes... I should probably get more organized first.
Taking step one is better than not taking the step.
I love iced coffee!
1) Taking tea
2) work
