I'm Shennae, 22, from Western Australia. I am a disabled asexual woman. I feel like talking to my family about my sexuality or lack thereof is like banging my head against a brick wall. My mum just tells me my sister was the same until she was 28 (she had weight loss surgery and was confident enough to go out like a normal woman her age for the first time and met her husband somewhere) or some shit like "i get it, you don't want to share your stuff" or tells me "if you're not straight, you're gay". I'm glad my friends I talk to regularly online don't make me go through what it means over and over and try to tell me I will change my mind.
Keep being you! I love your attitude and I'm glad your friends understand too. Family can be just so difficult, and it doesn't even have to be about sexuality haha family is just difficult and stupid sometimes. But you keep being you, you're awesome!
my mother is a Kiwi, where in NZ are you from? She has lived in both Auckland and Christchurch and now resides in Perth, Australia. I have a very nasally Kiwi accent because of her and my swollen sinuses!
I'm up in Auckland - been here for counts eep, 30 years (I'm 38). I'm over in Melbourne approximately once a years, as I have a partner there, but otherwise I'm pretty much a homebody :) I have an Uncle who moved from Taranaki to live in WA back in the late '90s, though.
Hi everyone! I'm Quinn, I'm a 21-year old lesbian trans woman based out of south west London. Still on the waiting list for gender therapy, and I'm out to my family and some of my friends. I do a little bit of web design, and I'm currently looking for software development apprenticeships to move forward with my career. Nice to meet you all!
Hi! :) I'm cat. I'm a lesbian and university student in southern California. I realized I was gay from video games. My other hobbies include drawing, cooking, and retching at heterosexuality in pop media.
Hey, I'm IBYMBYBMYL. I'm a 19 year old bisexual trans girl, pre everything. My passions include music, activism in various forms, video games and other things.
Hi! I'm veer, I grew up in Hong Kong but came to the States for college. I'm a senior, about to graduate, and I do queer and feminist games studies (which is to say: I read a lot of queer, feminist, and critical theory, then try and apply them to video games). I used to be a lot more involved in the campus queer community but I've been slowly retreating from it for reasons of my own. I am also a hobbyist calligrapher, enthusiastic cook, and drink far too much tea :)
Hello, I am a 20 year old bisexual trans women from Kansas. About 10 months on HRT was off for a few months so hard to define really how long I have been on it. Out everywhere except for work so that means I gotta play boy in public as it is a small town. I do work at a college as a Network Engineer and possibly might start teaching classes next year.
Hello! I'm Samantha. I'm asexual, and I haven't really figured out my romantic orientation yet. Most of my friends know, but I haven't really come out to my family (other than my brother). I enjoy reading and writing, and I also fence.
Hi everybody! I'm nat, I'm a trans gal/nonbinary, pansexual-ish and I'm not out to many people but I hope to be soon (: I like obscure music and reading books about philosophy, math, and languages. Recently I've had a pretty big interest in movies as well.
Hey, I'm Krenko and I'm ambigiously queer. I live in California, I'm a goblin that hides in a cave at all times, and I enjoy coffee a whole lot. I like talking, I feel like I'm kind enough.
Hi, I'm Bea from Germany, lesbian and due to my job and my mostly old-fashioned and intolerant family I'm only out to a few people yet. Hope Imzy is the right place to be- some other communities ( not naming names ) turned out rather horrible.
Hi, I'm Kat from SE England. I'm 18 years old and as far as I'm aware I'm bisexual but in no rush to figure it out. Only my closest friends and sister know about my sexuality. I like playing video games and planning to start studying artificial intelligence later this year at university.
Hi, i'm Hannah, i'm 19 pre everything trans mtf. Currently only out to my friend(close friend, also in love with her etc.), one of her friends(?) and my mom.
Hopefully i can get to a therapist soon and start transition.
EDIT: can't seem to find how to make a new profile for here, that's why i'm anon(imzy won't allow it or something... weird)
I'm greenie. I live in the woods with two and a half cats and 1/4 of a dog. I drink a lot of tea and I'm a pretty mediocre knitter. I've been involved in building a number of online lgbt/queer communities, so I'm always excited to see new ones pop up, and I'm excited to see what the imzy platform has to offer in that regard.
I live roughly 45 minutes from the closest grocery store, and probably two hours from the closest gay bar. There are a couple gay guys in my town, they're middle aged lumberjacks and very nice. But generally speaking I don't have local queer community, so online ones end up being fairly important to me.
Hi greenie! I'm hopeful for Imzy, too. Trying to wean myself off of a certain other giant discussion board platform.
I'm on campus, and theoretically there's a queer community somewhere around here, but I haven't spotted any in the wild yet. So the Internet fills that role for me, too. 🌈
Living in the woods sounds super peaceful. I hope your half-cat and quarter-dog are doing well out there! 😉
Hello! I'm Emma, 25 y/o trans lady law student living in Brooklyn, NY, originally from podunk nowhere Virginia. Mostly I'm here to help by sharing various resources, especially harm reduction (drug use, sex work, etc.) and legal stuff.
Hi, I'm a 25 year old gay guy in Northern VA, only out to close friends. I don't think my family would beagainst me being gay, but they definately don't expect it. Occasionally they'd give me advice on raising a traditional family which I'm not at all interested in. I like some video games and love to run.
Hi everyone! I'm Staci, I'm 26 (in a month so let's just call it 26 ;) ) and I'm a bisexual cis woman. Sometimes I get confused about everything really. I know I love men and women whether they are cis or trans, but sometimes I feel like I'm being erased or something with the name "pansexual" and other labels, when I feel like "bisexual" is what most represents my sexual orientation. I'm engaged, sorry ladies and gents ;) but I'd love to meet new friends on here! I'm out to all of my friends and some of my family. I don't see the point in raising the issue for the other members of my family.
I'm Lina, 20 years old as of today. I'm a trans woman living in Austria and yet still closeted and pre everything, though I'm planning on coming out soon and starting HRT asap.
Hi! I'm Kayley, I'm 26 and I'm a panromantic gray-area demisexual cis woman, though I tend to be attracted to women and NB folks much more often than men. I usually just say I'm queer when asked, because sometimes you get a little tired of explaining the specifics, which I'm sure many of you also understand, haha. I love drag, concerts, video games, and art. My first memorable crush on a girl was Queen Amidala in Star Wars Episode I when I was 10, which just really explains a lot about me as a human being (aka a big ol' queer nerd.) :)
Hello^_^ I am Lissa (or bunny haha). I am 16 years old female, lives in Kansas, i am in search for a councelor for my genderfluidness, also how i am bisexual. I do art. Nice to meet everyone! I like men...yep pretty much!
Hi,
I'm Yoel, i'm 29 from Israel.
I'm gay, married and oh-so-happy with him.
I'm here mainly for the people. I believe in creating communities, connecting people and making a little bit of a better world where everyone can feel he has a place and someone to rely on.
I'm moving soon to San Francisco with a startup i work with- also about creating communities.
Very happy to be here
Hi everyone! I'm Dee, from Auckland in New Zealand. I'm queer, poly, kinky and fat; used to be a sex-blogger but now in business for myself as a trained counsellor (specifically for the rainbow kink and poly community). I'm also a big fan of tea (Earl Grey specifically), reading (SO much reading), recharge time for this introvert, and - she's making me say this - the beastly feline :)
Hello! I'm an agender asexual in Cali, I love animals, knitting, gardening and making herbal teas, salves and other useful things. I am soon to start study as a vet assistant, and hopefully from there go on to become a full vet.
I'm Kirk, 45, Southeastern United States. I prefer bi or queer, although I don't mind pan or fluid. Gender questioning or gender uncertain or agender. He/Him is good for now.
I'm working my way out of the closet after a few decades of letting it slide due to extended family and other constraints. I obsessively collect links to articles and research on biphobia.
Hello, I'm Alice Kile - I am from India and I want to become a girl :D I am 17 yr old so I am in the high school rightnow, I will go to USA next year for transitioning.. hopefully :O
Hey, I'm completely new to the app ^^ I'm an 18y/o Pan girl and honestly I'm sick of having no friends lmao. I'm from the UK and I act, direct, and take photos :3 I also write a lot ^^ even though I'm a Drama kid I'm ridiculously introverted aha 😅
there's some grassroots stuff in my area that i keep in touch with, but i'm stuck at home a lot and only moved here last year. (smallish ontario city, not in the GTA). so i thought it might be nice to-- well, i've got friends that live further out i keep in touch with, but i thought joining an online community might be a good way to make more, and know what's going on in the world? you know?
Hey! I'm Sara. I'm a 20 year old lesbian(?) in Austin Texas. I helped found a queer sorority on my campus, so I love joining queer communities and growing with them. Can't wait to see what imzy has to offer!
Hi! I'm Tath, or Powder. I'm bigenderflux (nb man/nb woman), aroflux, biromantic and demisexual. I understand most of these labels aren't so common, but I am what I am. -shrugs-
I'm from Brazil, and I'm currently studying Leisure and Tourism at the University of São Paulo, and I'm also going to tech school to study photography.
I'm here because it's always nice to meet new LGBTQIAP+ communities, especially because I'm currently making a site with resources in Portuguese for the community.

My half cat and quarter dog do quite well living out here in the woods. Though tick season is starting up, which isn't great for quarter dog :p
Also I found a couple queers (veer and fina, below) and brought them over here :D

Mostly indie games on steam like to the moon or cave story. Other than that, portable stuff

I'm PrettyIceCube, trans {something femme placeholder}, femme + enby sexual and panromantic. I'm 3 months on HRT and living full time as me.
I'm from New Zealand, Waikato region and would love to meet IRL any trans peeps that are nearby.
You made it here OvO

Hi! I'm bisexual, demisexual, and Canadian. I'm a writer of poetry, short stories, fanfiction, and songs.
