CALL IT WAR — War & Golden (drabble)
- It was one thing to have her husband hold her while she cried, not knowing exactly why. It was another thing again to stand before her team while they called her protector instead of murderer. It was even another to stand in the middle of her bedroom, breathing harshly in the space between herself and her roommate, the new de facto leader of their team.
- Golden stared at her for a long time before finally saying, "War," in greeting and crawling into bed—War's bed. She'd always had trouble sleeping alone. "Coming?"
- It felt like forgiveness.
- "Yeah." War breathed out.

Something absolutely lyrical about this.
(Hi! I hope you don't mind me peeking in!)
I'm trying to think of a single socially acceptable response that expresses how delighted I am to receive this comment. I'm pretty much just dancing and squeeing because someone's here and you liked it and yes, I love, love, love that you peeked in! Pardon my dust, I'm archive forming/dumping over here. :D
