CALL IT WAR — War & Golden (drabble)

  1. It was one thing to have her husband hold her while she cried, not knowing exactly why. It was another thing again to stand before her team while they called her protector instead of murderer. 2. Golden stared at her for a long time before finally saying, "War," in greeting and crawling into bed—War's bed. She'd always had trouble sleeping alone. "Coming?"
  3. It felt like forgiveness.
  4. "Yeah." War breathed out.
