Favorite Books about Libraries, Librarians, and Librarianship
I know I personally have a habit of picking up any book about librarians, even if it is fiction (like Evil Librarian). My most recent buy was The Bad-Ass Librarians of Timbuktu: And Their Race to Save the World’s Most Precious Manuscripts just this weekend. I can't wait to start it!
What are your favorite books about libraries, librarians, and librarianship? They could be for professional development or lighthearted.

Multiformat--light novels, manga and anime-- the Read or Die universe (Read or Die, Read or Dream, ROD the TV, ROD Rehabilitation) works are surreal and awesome.
The British Library as a shadowy superpower is great (Yomi Readman, the original protagonist, is Library Special Operations "licensed to kill"), and the general level of bibliomania is a joy. (I love the main characters in Read or Dream attempting to weed their personal library and ending up explaining why they need at least three copies of a favourite book.)
I really enjoyed This Book is Overdue! by Marilyn Johnson a while back, and Library Confidential by Don Borchett. Fiction: the Mobile Library series by Ian Sansom. Children's: Excuse me but that is my book by Lauren Child. Want to read: The World's Strongest Librarian by Josh Hanagarne and Public Library by Ali Smith.
I loved This Book is Overdue! I will have to add the rest to my TBR list. Thanks for sharing!
Excuse me but that is my book is sheer joy.
