new MLIS student
Hi! I'm starting the first class of my MLIS program in a couple of weeks (going back to school part-time to expand my career options, have been working fulltime in a science lab and parttime as a library circulation clerk for years). I was wondering if anyone has any tips for someone starting out in the field for getting their bearings. What should I watch out for in my first classes? Is there anything you particularly valued from your library school experience, or anything you didn't do that you now wish you had?

Are you concentrating in anything in particular?
