This is probably obvious to anyone who's done this, but I still love when science backs up anecdote!

I feel like everyone already knew this, but I guess more proof is always good!
I'm too lazy to click. What's the tip?
Visualize yourself achieving your goal/winning the game/etc.
Thank you jelly_bean. I will work on my visualizations!
Nope! The article is about how visualizing yourself achieving your goal is effective, but what's even more effective is positive self-talk. Short motivational videos also have a positive effect.
The article's interesting.
Thank you. Ok, I'm gonna read it:

What's the best way to positive self-talk?
"You can do it" mantras?
I dunno. Whatever works for you, probably. My positive self-talk is a lot more detailed and rambling, like, "Come on, you can do this, remember that time you did something similar really well and you were a total badass? We're gonna do that again. Okay, remember your power poses. YOU'VE GOT THIS, GIRL."
Whatever makes your brain listen up, I guess!
I like "YOU'VE GOT THIS, GIRL." :)
While reading this I imagined myself at work self-talking and the looks my coworkers would give me. Made me giggle. "C'mon. You can do this - you can get all those emails answered today. You got this, you got this!" While jumping up and down, shaking out my arms, and stretching my neck. Lol
Hahaha, I think my coworkers would just blink and be like, "Yeah, you can. We all can. That's kind of the point. Are you okay?"
