It is my partner's birthday

  • Question

I made him breakfast in bed.

And we have listened to this song (nsfw) about a zillion times today.

What do you do for special people's birthdays?

When my son turned 18, I took him to see the Trans-Siberian Orchestra and then Hooters with my brother and his wife. There was a girl there also celebrating her birthday so the Hooters girls sang to them both while the two of them did that chicken dance thing the girls make ya do on your b-day. Pretty good night over all.

He turns 21 this year, still trying to figure out what to plan.

Haha aww that sounds super. I have always wanted to see TSO.

The show we saw, they were like an 80s hair band orchestra ... lots of fire and instrument play offs ( is that the word?) ... there was a story too (christmas story) ... really very fun.

So if you saw TSO for your son's birthday when is it? Mine is at the end of December! Hehe

His is too, just before Christmas. That year we drove through icy rain to get to the show.

        I'm just after :)

It's handy for me but I'm sure he'd have preferred some more separation between his bday and Christmas. Though, I'm more of a get something for someone because I want to not because of a set aside day sort of person. So maybe it worked out better for him 0_o

My mother threatened bodily harm to anyone who so much as dared to wrap my birthday gifts in Christmas wrap. Hahaha.

These days it doesn't matter I essentially start "winter shenanigans" celebrations on Winter Solstice and carry them right through to New Years. Haha
