My personal space for posting my artsy crafty stuff and other things that interest me. Come on in and say Hi. <3
New Years Resolutions:

Things to do in 2017:
Read 25 books (yes I increased it from the photo, that's roughly 1 every 2 weeks) I'll be tracking them on my GoodReads profile and will also be trying to read more graphic novels this year ❤
Yoga/Stretching/Walking - move your body 3-4 times weekly. I'm not going to get super specific on this one because I need to listen to my body. I've found this helpful for my pain but I find if I over do it I end up down for the count so 3-4 days of light exercise seems much more appropriate these days. I miss when I could run 5km 3 days per week, do jiu-jitsu 3-4 times weekly and walked literally everywhere while holding down a job, volunteering with the student's union and attending classes 5 days a week. Yup! Oh and I inexplicably still had a social life. I must have been a wizard....
Draw or Craft Daily - learn new skills. Currently I am exploring inking and crochet. I LOVE ink... So messy. So brilliant.
Continue Healthier Eating - cook creative stuff. I have a gift card burning a hole in my wallet that I might use for some nice kitchen supplies... I'm getting real into soups and stews and curry (and turmeric and ginger are beautifully anti-inflammatory).
Figure out next move for career and plan accordingly. This one is super broad... I have a few options in mind but most likely will end up attending school for some sort of certification. I'm worth more than minimum wage.
Also what the shit... I got old.

You share your craft pics, I'll post macramé pics :-)
Deal!
That's a super good list!
I'm happy with it. I wanted to keep it easy breezy. Life has been weird the last couple years especially. I didn't want to overreach on my goals when my primary focus needs to be self care. 💜
I hear ya!
My child laughs at me when I say "25 books". (That's like... two months worth. On the low end. I read a lot. I stopped updating goodreads.)
3 sounds cool.
And have some recipes.
I have a friend who has been off work with an injury and she read something like 58 in 2016 (based only on what she listed on Good Reads haha)
I got a bedside lamp so I am hoping that translates to more late night reading seeing as I am /sleepless anyways.
It's a REALLY good thing the library is a block from me. I go through a novel (or novel-length book) every two or three days. That's if I'm busy. If I've got time on my hands I'll go through two in a day.
Our library is super close too. I currently have a book on the go from there. I also have a bit of a backlog of books that I picked up in 2016 that I haven't had time to read.
I really want to steal my son's student ID to see what the university's library has. It's a little further away though, it's down the block and across the street. But it was in Star Trek, so that's something.
Sounds like a good reason to visit!
Also omigosh omigish vegan cream soups? You're my HERO.
Good luck!
Thanks Dan!
I wish you the best for 2017 as well.
