Storm moving across southern B.C. knocks out power, downs trees
The second storm in a trio of powerful storms to hit southern B.C. is currently moving across Vancouver Island and the Lower Mainland. The storm was expected to be here late Thursday night but didn't arrive until Friday morning. It is already causing havoc on the roads with a number of accidents, including on Knight Street and the Alex Fraser Bridge.

File Under: Reasons Lizzie won't be online much for a couple days.
I have internet and power right now but that could change real fast. We've been lucky in my area so far aside from very very soggy. But other areas are getting slammed. I even saw something about tornado warnings of all things for south of Seattle Washington. This is a weird one.
I'll pop on to say Hi when I can. ❤
Until then I'm storm watching. ⚡☔

Stay safe and warm over there <3
Be safe, Lizzie!!
Prayers and positive energy headed your way.
Stay safe and cosy. X
Good plan. The pressure changes have my nerves on edge, by that I mean I hurt! Is it affecting your pain levels?
It was worse just prior seems like since the storms started hitting it has improved. But right before a storm or cold front I always get extra ouchy in a few joints.
We're in a lull rain-wise, sun mixed with clouds and a lot of wind. My muscles feel like whipcords. It's unpleasant.
Ok, take care. Beware of trees.
omg, stay safe please! D:
I'll be fine! ❤ just messy messy.
I've been scoffing about it, but this is apparently a 50-year storm. Tomorrow could get a little bit interesting around here. I have plans to hunker with friends. We'll bake cookies and drink whisky and hope the power holds.
I made sure I had clean water in reserve as my biggest worry is that the storm sewers won't cope and we'll end up on a boil advisory for a bit.
Also gonna avoid elevators until this is over because Eek! Haha
Take care of yourselves, guys (naturally I'm including you in this too, Lizzie) 😣 sounds pretty nasty, I hope nothing around you gets too damaged. 💕
Went out to grab some essentials and things look OK in my area aside from parking lot lakes. We'll just have to wait and see when the rest of it comes through (and all this rain... The poor storm drains hehe).
Lucky you. I love storms, and I live in a part of the country where the most we get in terms of weather are passive-aggressive overcast periods.
Hope you still have power/internet/basic amenities.
