Los Angeles
LA/OC hiking group?
Would anyone be interested in joining up for hikes? I don't have a car so I'm mostly interested in the immediately accessible trails but I'd love to meet up occasionally with people who want to hang and enjoy the vast "green" space and rec areas we have here!

I'd totally be up for some hiking — I haven't done it in ages. I was born in L.A. and I STILL haven't done the Hollywood sign hike. One of my favorites is the trail north of Altadena, which I haven't done since moving back recently.
The Mt Lee hike up to the sign is a ton of fun! There are a few different routes but honestly it's worth skipping the hassle and just starting at the bottom near the Bronson caves. I've never gone hiking in Altadena, one of my roommates from there says it's amazing.
I've yet to explore Runyon Canyon, and I've been itching to do the Wisdom Tree hike, but none of my friends are either hikers or have the right schedule to do it, and I refuse to do rough hikes alone in Griffith with all the shit that happens there, and P-22 of course lol
Confession: I had to Google search P-22 — I did not expect that to be the name of a mountain lion breed. I kinda want to see one and I also don't haha. I'd totally be up for Wisdom Tree or Altadena. I've always loved the Sam Marrill trail starting on Lake Ave.
Weekend hikes would be the perfect time to do it.
it's not the name of a breed, it's the name of a specific lion :) He's kind of the mascot for Griffith now, lol.
Ok! Next weekend would work perfectly as a consolation for having to miss Glass Animals at the Greek :(
I feel your pain. I missed the Mae Shi's reunion show at The Smell two Fridays ago. I'm still feeling the pain.
Awesome for next weekend! Shoot me an email and we can plan it — I'm at vince.roque@icloud.com.
hey just a heads up sorry I have not reached out. My dog fell ill this week and I've been super stressed trying to keep him happy and comfortable, and we finally go to the vet today. Depending how today goes I'll hit you up later for maybe another weekend?
Wow you all actually meet up and go hiking that's pretty sweet. Wish we could start up something like that here in Chicago, but would still advise against it this time of year. Maybe spring, and hope your dog gets better. =) Come join our fitness community.
