Book Talk: Hex, Chapter 3

Book Talk: Hex, Chapter 3

Welcome back to the comparative read of Thomas Olde Heuvelt's HEX! This time I'm tackling chapter 3. When last we visited the towns of Black Spring and Beek, we had encountered Stefan, his family and their USian counterparts as well as a creepy, kind of stalkerish old lady with eyes and mouth sewn shut.

Given the nature of Imzy's (current) text formatting system, I'm afraid that the format of this blog will consist largely of links with a short ramble like this below. I'm really sorry about that, but until I can just c/p text and have the formatting stay intact, they're going to be links. (Do comment wherever you'd like, though!)

Anyway! This is the bilingual discussion of chapter 3 from HEX by Thomas Olde Heuvelt. You are warned that this chapter contains suicide ideation and a brief depiction of severe self-harm. Things are slowly starting to get worse and eerier. Also I geek out about grammar, um, rather a lot and attempt literary analysis in a way I haven't since uni. Meep.
