Ratings and Consequences
I saw an article saying that Uber and Lyft drivers get kicked off if they get anything less than a 5 star rating. Which doesn't jive with how users rate people, which is generall 3 = okay, 4 = good, 5 = outstanding.
The only service I regularly use is Handy for our housecleaner. So I asked them what ratings mean to them. They actually replied.
I'm not sure what to make of this. I've definitely had cleaners that were a 4. But like.. a bunch of 4s isn't enough to keep them employed. I certainly don't think they should be fired if they only do 4 star work. It just means I'm not going to give them a huge tip.
The only 5 star person I've rated I gave a $20 tip to.
