Work is a mess

It became really clear today that the "project" I've been assigned isn't really a project. There's not two people who've been tasked to work on it who share an understanding of what the scope is or what we're trying to achieve.

This is a disaster.

And a predictable one because no planning was undertaken before work started. So people are literally "just doing stuff."

And now I have to talk with my boss tomorrow about how bad this is and how we need to slow down and go back and make a plan and get everyone on the same page before we can continue. I was going to ask her about her plans for next steps, but now I don't think there should be any.

I'm really not looking forward to this.

I don't think she's going to take anything I have to say very well.
