Quick Review:--Wonder Momo: Battle Idol Vol 1 (image heavy)

I picked up a copy of Wonder Momo: Battle Idol (web comic in book form) at the library yesterday, because idol star+magical girl+retro games

Thoughts: it's cute, I always like girl rivals with f/f potential. I do really wish they'd kept the charming gameart style, instead of going for something out of "How to Draw Japanese Comics". It's clean, colourful and competent but generic. The flashback to her mother's reign as Wonder Momo uses a style the commentry compares to Ranma 1/2 and Project A-Ko and it just has so much more personality.

The story feels a bit rushed and without depth, but I guess that's part of the four-panel format.

Anyone have thoughts on the anime?
