Is it a good idea to post translated lyrics? It won't be possible to make it feel the same as the original lyrics, and misinterpretation could happen. But would it make it more meaningful listening to the song?
Maybe just for the chorus?
I think it would be best, if possible, to include the original text of the lyrics in Chinese plus the English translation (if you're up to it).
At least for me, I have a hard time understanding lyrics sung in Mandarin (due to mondegreen) but can understand more easily if it's written out.
I'm Chinese American, but my Mandarin is laughably poor. It's enough to get by in day-to-day conversation, but I can't understand songs or movies/TV.
My Mandarin may as well be nonexistent; I've only toyed with the idea of learning so far. It's a bloody gorgeous language though! :D
The first Chinese character to recognise in lyrics is 我 (Wo but not pronounced を) which means 私.
Yep, I know that one! I also know 是 offhand, and a few others...
Such as 的?
Yes! :D
