All Marvel stuff here, enjoy!
Can we talk about how amazing the art has been for Hawkeye these last few years, especially when it comes to women?
If you're ever in a conversation with someone who doesn't understand sexualization or the male gaze and uses arguments like "but that's just what she looks like," or "men are sexualized too," please refer them to Matt Hollingworth's art for Hawkeye. It's minimalist but evocative, and women are drawn as attractive, sexual agents, but they're not sexualized. Here's a woman wearing sexy clothing with a proportionate body. Here's Kate just sitting at a counter like a normal person, not arching her back to show off her chest and ass the way another female comic character would be. The panelling is excellent, the colors are beautiful, and it's a great story to boot. Also, he's really good at dog personalities.

Hey, totally agree with the sentiment but kinda need to couple this with a bit of the "um, actually" just to set the record straight. The main artist in question on the Fraction series is David Aja. Annie Wu did the Kate Bishop in CA issues. Matt Hollingsworth is the color artist. --Friendly Neighborhood Hawkguy Footnote...
I think that in the fraction / hollingsworth run of Hawkeye all of the art is amazing. It feels very realistic and the women don't seem overly drawn in the areas most are in comics. I will say that I felt the are went a little downhill with Lemire / Perez's run. I'm very interested to see what will happen with the Hawkeyes after Civil War II.
Ahh, great. Now I have to go get the Fraction Hawkeye omnibus. I was trying to hold off...
