Fandom! Come and have a great time talking and creating for our favorite Captain America, Steve Rogers. Post fanfic/art!
Who IS Steve Rogers?
I've been thinking quite a bit about this lately. Because Steve Rogers has been portrayed differently in the MCU, in AVAC, in EMH, in AA, in the comics (all through the years) and even fanfic and fanart, etc - but what makes Steve Rogers - well, Steve Rogers. And why does that make him the best Captain America?
Give me some examples!
Share your favorite episode of EMH or AA or issue of comics, or moment in MCU or even fanfic or fanart (post a link). It would be great to get the board popping again!

Well I will start and ask for you all to join in. Our board cannot be healthy and happy without your help along the way.
While I do watch EMH and AA and play a little of AVAC, I have to admit my favorite Steve Rogers is MCU. (Thus the name of the board). For me, Steve Rogers is not a man without flaws - he does have faults and flaws but he tries constantly to overcome them. For example, he doesn't just talk about the high ground, he tries to live it. He forces himself to do it every day. He barely ever gives over to doing something for himself. I think this really got to the fandom a lot during CW. For the first time, we actually see Steve falter and do something for himself as far as Bucky is concerned (and it was wrapped up with trying to get the other WS - that's important too). But Steve- he does this one thing, that reaches for something for himself and it isn't seen by the whole of the fandom as a character developing moment but as a selfish moment. This is wrong in my book. If Steve gives up and surrenders at this point and doesn't fight for something close to his heart, he never grows as a character. He is that flat, perfect character that everyone talks about. This is so vital to his development and to him being a 3 dimensional character. I love that he tries so hard and he gets back up, and he fights for the best in all of us. But I also love that through all of this - he is true to himself. That means he is actually that good. But he does need to have a break, and do something for himself.
