Starting my daily meditation journey with Headspace today
Does anyone else here use guided meditation apps? I don't think it's a necessary thing to use but I like the sound of an instructor guiding me sometimes, especially when I haven't meditated in a while. I expect to do at least 10 minutes the first 10 days, and 20 minutes afterwards. I've had some days in the past where meditation has changed my way of percieving things in a more postive way in the past, and I hope to achieve this on a regular bases when I meditate everyday now :)

After being really skeptical of meditation, I decided to give it a go with Headspace. Fast forward to today - 697 consecutive days later and I'm happy with my decision. V2 is better than V1, as you get the choice of session lengths. I think Andy's way of making meditation more secular is awesome.
I agree! Meditation in general was seen as a very religious thing to the average person up until (I believe) the late 2000's and headspace was the one that got me interested meditation :)
While some might consider the $12/mo price point a bit high, I thought it was very beneficial for me for the 130+ straight days that I used it. I recommend it!
That's excellent! I actually pay for the yearly fee with a coupon code I googled so it was only 72 per year for me :) I probably wouldn't blame anyone for not wanting to pay that much there with all the other guided meditation alternatives out there (free, cheaper, one time pay) but I've used many of them and always go back to headspace. They are all great but I really like andy's way of teaching meditation and visualization :)
I find guided meditations helpful in distraction-heavy environments (waiting rooms, travel, etc). I don't tend to pay for them, though. There are plenty available for free.
That said, I did enjoy the free trial of Headspace that I used.
Yeah I wouldn't expect most people to pay for meditation apps and probably wouldn't have bothered with headspace if I didn't find the discount code. At some point I'm probably gonna switch to insight timer and go unguided everyday.
