Description: Never heard of it? This 37th year of the festival is a great time to get to know The Djerriwarrh Festival, because it's going to be bigger and better than ever. For starters, after the diverse melting pot that is the community of Melton come together for the community street parade, there's entertainment galore. Iconic bands like ARIA Hall of Fame inductees Dragon (band) and Eurogliders and one of Australia's most talented and versatile artists Sarah Mcleod, come to mind, and YESSSSS they're part of the headline acts on the main stage!
Fireworks (at 10pm) are back, but the bonfire (at 7.45pm) is new. Keep in mind that these events are of course weather dependent.

Description: Now in its 26th year, the annual Maroondah Festival, originally called the Croydon Festival is the biggest community event on the Maroondah City Council calendar. More than 20,000 people turn out for lots of great entertainment, activities and free family fun.

Description: Billed as "the original showcase for intelligent design", this curated market features 50 of the best and brightest, established and emerging designers, who have been hand-picked for this special event. On offer will be products across all design sectors, including furniture, lighting, homewares, fashion and accessories. A curated market, featuring quality designer items across many design fields.

Description: Relax and unwind at Fed Square as the Victorian Bands League presents some of the finest Brass and Concert bands from right across Victoria! Come along to enjoy a day of free entertainment in The Square as the bands perform an assorted mix of great music – from traditional marches and classics for band, through to modern-day pop and rock!

Buddhist Spring Festival & Ceremony for World Peace http://tibetanbuddhistsociety.org/
Description: You're invited! Just 30 minutes from Melbourne, the Buddhist Spring Festival will celebrate the rich culture and community, peace and meditation, and manifest world peace. Even if you have never tried meditation before there will be 'taster' sessions. Take the ancient approach to a more positive, content and compassionate lifestyle and learn about spirituality and the Buddhist views of the mind, enlightenment and karma. There will even be sessions specifically for children including mediations and story time.

Description: The Melbourne Cup Carnival concludes its festivities with this great day of racing.
