Well, I have a large collection, as I say. but what is the metal? how can you put the discs into this viewer? what is the yellow and plexiglass? I don't understand. I will post a photo of my collection.
Ah, I understand the question now. Sorry! The metal and yellow stuff are part of the display case, so no one walks off with the viewer. The only disc you can view is the one already in the viewer -- this is, quite literally, a museum piece.
ohhhhhh! well, it sounds like a fun museum, then. I went to the museum of childhood in london. it was great to see toys of all ages., and different centuries, even!
View Master and Teddy Ruxpin are totally having a party right now with the Wuzzles.
I had Disney's Sleeping Beauty on this. It looked great on it with that kind of animation.
While I have a huge viewmaster collection, and am super keen, I don't understand what I am looking at here. Is it a projection device? or?
It's a manually operated viewer for viewmaster discs. There's a 3D effect when you look through the eyepiece. Big favorite of mine when I was wee.

There was a "View Master" feature film that was being developed a few years ago.
