If Women Wrote Men the Way Men Write Women.
If Women Wrote Men the Way Men Write Women.
If Women Wrote Men the Way Men Write Women. There is a particular look about a teenage boy that lets you know what kind of man he'll be. A certain fullness of lips, a frank sensuality in his gaze.

"His feet were average-sized, and there was hair on his toes that he should probably take care of before tonight. "
Annnnd, this is where I lost it.
It's really hard to laugh yourself silly at 4:30 AM without waking the SO! <3
I love McSweeney's
I forget to check it. There's always such good stuff there!
And their hard copy texts are fabulous collectables!
On the one hand, yes. There are quite a few ridiculous writers of women out there. (And not all of them are men, sadly. See Twilight for details.)
On the other hand -- sometimes the way women write men (especially gay men) is just as bad as the way men write women. It's not the same, obviously, but look at a good portion of slash fanfic and m/m stuff out there written by women. Not all of it, but a good portion of it, has absolutely ridiculous caricatures of how the author seems to think people of the opposite gender think. (And in the case of slash, I'm pretty sure that many guys would never eat. They'd just live in bed and waste away after dying of sex...)
Again, I'm nearly in tears from laughing. :D
Set up a gofundme. Gay fiction characters in need of food and ointment, not necessarily in that order.
