Favorites of 2016

Just like a few thousand other people, I sat down and wrote up a review of 2016, in my case the favorite books that I read in 2016, though not necessarily released in 2016. My full writeup is at http://wolfhusky.net/duncan/wp/2016/12/2016-a-year-of-reading-in-review/ I was curious what others' favorites were too!

Favorite series:

  • Bear, Otter, and the Kid, by TJ Klune (Contemporary, Slice-of-Life)
  • Hidden Wolves, by Kaje Harper (Shifters, Suspense)
  • How to Howl at the Moon, by Eli Easton (Shifters, Humorous)
  • Infected, by Andrea Speed (Shifters, Mystery)
  • Wolf, by AF Henley (Shifters, Suspense)

One-offs and beginnings of series that I have not yet had a chance to pursue:

  • Hell and High Water (THIRDS #1), by Charlie Cochet (Shifters, Suspense) (The audio performance for this book by Mark Westfield is amazing, some of the best I have ever heard on any audiobook. And it is definitely performance, not narration!)
  • How to Be a Normal Person, by TJ Klune (Contemporary, Humorous)
  • Into This River I Drown, by TJ Klune (Paranormal, Contemporary)
  • Sidecar, by Amy Lane (Contemporary)

Favorite Book of 2016:

  • Wolfsong, by TJ Klune (Shifters, Modern Fantasy)

(I, uh, kind of like shifter books :-)
