    It's pretty nifty but all in all it's not really my cup of tea. The cool part IMO is the contrast between the buddha and the Grecian sculpture. Everything beyond that seems awfully vague to me, though. In the article it says:

    Marcel Duchamp called it "aesthetic osmosis," the process by which an artist transfers responsibility to a viewer, empowering them to complete the work out in the world. This idea, of art as shared enterprise, is the theme of this exhibition. Here, the word proxy encompasses the tools and techniques that complete artworks away from the artist’s hand.

    I think I like exploring a piece of work that an artist designed and enjoying all the ways different facets work together for whatever purpose they intended, so the taking on responsibility for its meaning ends up falling a bit flat. If anyone does really like this sculpture I'd love to hear their impression of it, though.
