Tonight's jazz post is by pianist Chick Corea. This track is from his debut album Tones for Joan's Bones (I'm sure there's an interesting story behind that name). He's joined by quite a stellar quintet lineup. This composition, Litha, is rather unique since it begins in 6/8 (a rather uncommon time signature for straightahead jazz). Interesting piece and stellar playing from all the musicians.
