Tonight's track is by tenor saxophonist Eddie Harris. This is from his album "The Electrifyng Eddie Harris", in which he experiments with electronic effects using the varitone, a sort of woodwind pickup built into the neck of the saxophone. I really like this particular tune Sham Time, a rollicking soul jazz number in which Harris is backed by a large ensemble of trumpets and saxophones arranged by Arif Mardin.
