Power Figures

Here at Moonbeam Cafe, we love art! Especially art a little off the beaten path.

Let's begin our Uncanny Sculpture series!

Power Sculptures are fascinating to me. Seen in person, they are absolutely eerie.

This article describes their purpose in depth and is well worth a read. If anything, simply for the photos.

There's currently an exhibition of some of Jaime Molina's sculptures at the Long Beach Museum of Art, that seem to be somewhat inspired by these ancient works.
