Moonbeam Cafe: for the night owls. We are not afraid of the dark. Pour a drink and stay a while.
Tarot Thursday
you know the drill: any question received before 10pm est gets cards pulled, pics, and an elaboration on the cards.
most questions welcomed! i trust that someone whose most worrying question would be better to reach out to a trained professional over will...probably find something else to ask a tarot reader.

Lovely! Thanks again for this. 💚
thanks again to moonbeam cafe for hosting, and to you-- this is a lot of fun and a highlight of the week for me.
I'm so glad. 💛💚💙💜
Thank you for spending your time doing this every week! <3
I'm thinking about taking a little pet project of mine and pursuing it on a more serious level so that I don't feel completely useless. Do you have any advice on what I should expect as well as any warnings?
what to expect overall: chevalier of void and moonlight.
going serious with this may be an adventure for you-- and sometimes a lonely one. the time and energy spent will be pulled from somewhere else, but you feel the call to make things happen, and turn an idea into a tangible reality.
advice: nine of pentacles and education. keep a good head of steam and don't skimp on the book-work; there's things you wouldn't have needed to know for it as a pet project, and momentum will help keep you from getting overwhelmed and bogged down by the increased scale of things.
warnings: the hierophant and talisman. use your own judgement when it comes to which 'wisdom' you'll use out of early research and feedback. the same source that gives you useful information might also contradict something you've learned by experience-- you don't have to become a pure disciple of any one method, structure, or advisor, especially not if it'd actively make it harder for you to see it through.
i hope this is relevant and useful!
Thank you so much! It's def relevant and useful <3 Have a good night!
I know I always ask about work. But I've got an interview on Monday. Do you have any advice for me?
i drew for advice on something to take a little more of into the interview, something to take a little less, and something that you'll be a good amount of regardless.
first i drew the devil and intention. don't feel ashamed for having strong, absolute needs from your employment, if that's something that worries you-- you know your worth and what you want from this opportunity.
second i drew the two of swords and details, details. this suggests that you might get caught up trying to hash out the small stuff and forget what your real, specific goals for employment are. you wouldn't be called in for an interview if you didn't already seem like an interesting prospect to evaluate further!
finally, i pulled justice and sacred pool. this says that if there's some tenets of morality and ethics that might affect the way you do your work, you wear them very well, and that both your history and potential future of work done speak well of you.
i hope this is relevant and useful!
How can I make the most of the time I have left abroad? Will I have a school or career path that I am happy about by the time I get back to America?
oh, goodness, did my write-up not post? i'll fix that now. i'm so sorry.
alright: first i pulled for advice on making the most of the time you have left abroad.
for something that will help, i pulled 0 of void and protecting treasure; for something that might hurt, i pulled justice and ride the wave.
you probably have an idea in your head of how you Should make the most of the time you have left abroad, as well as pressure from others. that said, don't let it overwhelm you-- it might be a good idea to, if you get a quiet moment for it, wander back through anywhere that might hold important memories for you, and document it if you can.
this can be with pictures, or with a journal, or even with sentimental knick-knacks, but future-you will probably appreciate having those little tangible pieces of the time you've spent abroad. it doesn't have to be elaborate-- just something to remind yourself of what's been important to you there and why. and if it's private, you don't have to share it with anyone else that you don't want to.
i'm not an economic forecaster, but i did pull the chevalier of wands and follow the leader for your question about your career path. how well you're doing financially is, obviously, going to have an effect on your quality of life, but this suggests that there's potential independence you're not putting to use that'll serve you well once you're back in america.
both cards recommend having strong, specific goals that are based on actions and outcomes, rather than a lifestyle to aspire to or a pictured workday. when seeking a lifelong career, especially a happy one, you need to be confident and consistent in your skills with regards to the work you do, as well as build the kinds of human connections that only come with time and experience.
this says that if you're not there yet, you're probably equipped to get there: remember that you contribute a skill and labor that's needed. being hired and paid isn't a handout or favor.
i hope this is relevant and useful!
Hi @unholyexhalation! Thanks for this.
I'm thinking of taking on a new venture, something to help me feel just a little bit more fulfilled. Do you have any advice or warnings?
i pulled for encouraging advice and for a warning.
first, i pulled the high priestess and come together. if there's something you feel a little more completed by doing, then you're right that now is the time to pursue it.
the high priestess can also imply intellectually or spiritually fulfilling pursuits.
second, i pulled the star and spirit of place. obviously, you're doing this because you need it. this is a warning to make sure that you remember that it's adding to you, not consuming you; there are things in your life that are there for good reasons, and that it'd be bad to let get crowded out altogether.
together they say that whatever you pick up will likely serve better as a fresh outlet than a sole purpose, and suggest that it'll be practical to treat it accordingly.
i hope this is relevant and useful!
It is! As always, thank you very much for this!
