Moonbeam Cafe: for the night owls. We are not afraid of the dark. Pour a drink and stay a while.
tarot thursday: you bring the questions, i bring the cards
i hope everyone in moonbeam cafe is having a good day/evening/morning (time zones can be tricky)--
and regardless what kind of day you're having, if you feel like it's a good day for you to have some tarot pulled, comment on this post about it as usual.
in case anyone's new, here's the approximate rules for this weekly event:
- i am not a doctor, lawyer, or banker, and trust that you won't use tarot as your sole source of advice on matters that could use more specific and trained consultation
- please no yes/no questions, although i do have a 'true or false' spread that pulls up an approximate argument for each in case it helps you sort that out yourself, if you can't think of a different way to put your question than in binary
- it's secretly less awkward to ask someone if they feel like dating you than to ask tarot if someone feels like dating you, but i do take love questions otherwise
- aside from that-- have fun! until 10pm EST 5/18/17, this post is your metaphorical oyster!

How is Monday going to go?
i tried to pull for an overview, a heads up, and advice that might be helpful.
first, i pulled three of wands and wide open. these don't address the results of the day, but what you'll be bringing to it-- you're as prepared as you can be and you know the tasks in front of you. these say that you're likely to keep your cool and get things done for any part that depends on you.
second, i pulled 0 of void and spirit of place. this suggests that what you're seeking from the day is something well-suited to you, but that you might be uncertain of the role you'll play once things are set in motion, and that you might have thoughts on the mind about how this could change your life in ways you can't anticipate.
third, i pulled five of swords and heal the ouch. once all is said and done, you might feel pretty wrung out, especially if you have to wait on someone for a response. this suggests that you plan ahead of time if possible to wind back with someone you trust, in one way or another, and air your worries out to each other. this can help you both recover from recent stresses and refresh you going forward.
however things go, altogether they say: don't give up! the five of swords is a card of very vulnerable feelings of defeat, and in the cards i've pulled, the recurring imagery of the butterfly is also involved in the depiction of this defeat-- sword broken and wings torn. you might even be especially stressed about the oncoming monday due to previous experiences that have cut you down.
if so, remember that the best you can do is your best, and you're headed to land where you belong. take time to salve the parts that sting and keep going: you're open to building and growing in your life, and you'll get there.
This is an interesting reading given the two things that are likely to happen on Monday:
We're having an all-day meeting about The State of Our Dept at work, which no one is quite sure what it's going to be about, because all of us underlings are pretty set on the state of things, even if we don't like them. You'd think we might be able to suggest changes, but one's bosses have to be open to change for that to work. Otherwise you're just risking your job. So... potential conversations about how useless my job position is are a distinct possibility.
I may hear about the job I interviewed for that would be a great life upgrade in all respects.
oof. good luck with the work meeting-- i can see why that'd be a huge stress on you!
i pulled for the job interview outcome specifically since you mentioned it, and i pulled...the wheel of fortune, with heal the ouch again. if you've been feeling specifically down on your luck, that narrows the wheel of fortune down from a bit of a wild card to " reversal of current run of luck", which i'm hoping is how things pan out. you deserve a step up in life away from the stress and uncertainty.
i hope this is relevant and useful!
