Black Panther to Feature First Gay Characters in a Marvel Movie?
Are gay characters already in the Marvel Cinematic Universe? If they aren't now, they will be soon. Marvel has been very ahead of the curve in some ways, but a little behind the ball on others. Like when it comes to a female-led superhero movie, for example.

It'd be nice if artists could quit queerbaiting like this. Show, don't tell. Likewise, I hope a bit of flirting isn't the only representation we'll see in Black Panther or the MCU.
Oh. Sorry about that. I didn't post this because I was trying to contribute to the prevalence of queerbaiting or anything like that. I just got excited and I guess I didn't really think or read between the lines.
I just thought it would be cool if this particular movie had/showed gay relationships. Idk. Thought it was good news...
Don't worry about it. I'm excited to hear that there might be some decent representation in Black Panther, I just take issue with James Gunn's statement.
I see they're once again forgetting that Deadpool is pansexual...
True... π
Deadpool isn't part of the MCU, though; he's in the X-Men cinematic universe.
Oh. Oops. I never remember these things. I swear it's all just "superhero" to me now. π
probably not since marvel went out of their way to deny this rumor while totally straightwashing the character lmao
considering the marvel ceo is a literal shitstain and the mcu aint shit i doubt they'll ever come out and say 'this character is a lesbian/gay/bisexual/trans', they will just keep playing dumb everytime someone asks them if x character is anything other than straight. besides, putting a lgbt+ character in your movie u$ually come$ with certain problem$ in certain countrie$, problem$ that marvel will want to avoid π
A sobering response. Thank you for being so blunt. Nevertheless, I'm very disappointed.
