Looking to January's Real Box Office Heroes for Our Outlook on the Year Ahead

Be the moviegoer you want to see in the world. January is anything but a dumping ground for movies. Sure, this is a month where hopeless Hollywood junk comes to die (ahem, Monster Trucks), and there are some failed hopefuls, too ( Live By Night).

We took the kids to see Hidden Figures yesterday and I have to say that it was absolutely beautiful. The performances were amazing and the story was a look into a history that we are just not taught in school. The intelligence, the determination, and the inner strength portrayed was inspiring.

Our kids are 13 and 15, girl and boy, and both loved it. Our daughter said it might be the best film she's ever seen. There is really no objectionable content, as far as parenting goes, to worry about. Hardly a cuss word- maybe a "damn" here and there. I highly recommend seeing it and showing to your children : )
