Oh this is a good one today. Feel free to laugh at me with a critical adulting failure I guess...

Long weekends= Busy Weekends
Ah Victoria Day weekend always likes to make my life tough. I think I had three separate party invitations in three towns, plus my own get together and by the looks of it, I was teaching Sunday School this weekend as well.

This was the adulting fail and complete panic.
AAA THERE WAS A SQUIRREL RUNNING AROUND MY APARTMENT THIS MO'RNING AND NOW THE ASSHOLE IS STARING IN MY APARTMENT FROM MY PATIO AND EATING MY MARIGOLDS.
Asshole Squirrel
Now to the STORY. I had been laying in bed when I heard my cat running around my livingroom like a nutcase. i mean she was always running and jumping into shit, but this was up and down the apartment like she was chasing something. And she started hissing and growling. So I get dressed, peek out of my bedroom and see a squirrel in my living room. It was not even 8:30am.
I grabbed Lilly by her harness, and shut her in my bedroom. I made my way to the patio door and opened it up. I am SCREAMING at the top of my lungs, literally panicking. I don't like squirrels on the best of days, and I was still an anxiety ridden mess from school.
I grab a lawn chair from my patio and fold it up, and I get behind this squirrel and start pushing it towards the patio door. I finally got it outside and shut the patio door.
The squirrel then had the AUDACITY to sit on my patio, staring in the door and eating my miarigolds the ENTIRE DAY.
I think the squirrel had got in my apartment from a tiny gap beside my air conditioner that a friend had helped me install that day.
Proud of my Lilly for flushing out the enemy squirrell and alerting me to his presecnce
I ended up going to the used bookstore and came home with $45 worth of books. Click to view image
I am going to bed. Hoping NOT to wake up to a squirrel tomorrow morning.

I was reading The Knitting Circle by Ann Hood for my book club. I was a mess. The book was so sad.

I was sharing more political stuff ahead of the immient election call. I lost a lot of conservative "friends" from my hometown. One of them kept me on FB and still maintains a low-key dialogue with me. But back then she would drunk FB me whenever she wanted to argue politics and Conservative policy.

They can really stop with the Jurassic World trailers and commercials on every break. I'm not seeing it, I'm never seeing it. Thank you Jurassic Park for forever terrifying me of fictional dinosaurs.
JP1 came out when I was 5 and hit home video when I was 6. That movie scared the living shit out of me, and I went and hid in my bedroom. I have never been able to watch ANYTHING with dinosaurs in it.

this is my early fave for jam of the summer Can't Stop The Feeling- Justin Timberlake
It has been my jam for an entire year. There may have been super messy drunken daning and screaming the song at new years...

Omg yes I've finally found someone who hates jurassic park movies as much as me!! I was probably a bit older when I saw it but I'm still freaked out by really big things, even not alive things like cranes and have never and will never watch another jurassic park movie.
I think from the sounds of Blasts from the Past you're three years older than me. I am so glad to know I'm not the only one who has ongoing fears because of Jurassic Park. Tumblr was AWFUL when World came out. I've never been afraid of big things, but dinosaurs for sure.
Yeah that must be about right, JP came out when I was 9 or 10.
I didn't end up with a fear of dinosaurs themselves, probably because I already liked them from a scientific stand point but the way they are portrayed in those movies is just horrible!
