Talk about your favorite shows and what is good on Netflix
The best "old" shows on Netflix (pre 1990)
I'm looking for some old stuff to watch! What comedies and dramas would you recommend?
I'm looking for shows that aired the MAJORITY of their runs in the 80's and before.

If you like murder mysteries, Inspector Morse! It's so well done and the setting is brilliant. And, if you finish all the episodes and want to keep watching, you can always move on to Inspector Lewis and see the original detective's assistant all grown up.
I've seen so much Keeping up Apperances! One of my favorite shows as a kid. It played all the time on my local PBS station.
I liked the Munsters alright. It played on Nick at Night when I was a kid, but I wasn't a hug fan.
I find the Andy Griffith show a bit boring. It was funny at times for what it was, but it's almost Leave it to Beaver levels of boring for me.
Thanks for the recommendations though.
I recently-ish watched "All Creatures Great & Small" on Netflix, as it was a show I watched a fair amount of growing up, but that is on streaming anymore. Netflix used to have a nice catalogue of BC shows from the period, but they all seem gone now, or at least I can't find them.
I'm just gonna have to take an hour and really browse the Netflix catlaoge. There's just so many shows, it's hard to filter out stuff I might like.
I find their recommendation engine has been giving me less then stellar results lately, making me less likely to find something I'll like. The "not interested" button was one of my favourites.
Here is a few I enjoyed.
I forgot about MacGyver! I just wish Netflix had a "random episode button" though. I love watching random episodes...makes it feel more like watching episodes in syndication.
