Luke Cage starts today!

Netflix respectfully requests you watch Luke Cage

Here's what's up in the world of TV for Friday, September 30 and Saturday, October 1. All times are Eastern. Top picks Luke Cage (Netflix, 3:01 a.m., Friday): Mike Colter gets his own Marvel Comics TV franchise as his titular indestructible, unjustly convicted ex-con spins off from his supporting role on Jessica Jones and becomes an inner-city "hero for hire."

How many episodes in Season 1?

  • InBlissOct 04, 2016 at 10:33 AM

Finished watching Luke Cage, Want to see some more aggression from Luke. Overall it is good but need to see some aggressive maneuvers not just power. Imaging someone who is bulletproof and has raw power that guy would generally be more destructible when he hits not just a punch. Something is missing. What you guys say?

    • BrionyOct 04, 2016 at 12:31 PM

I think they seriously did an awesome job in rooting why aggression isn't something Luke really wants to to explore. His mentor, the role he wishes to play in his community, to how he beat Stryker are all a testament to that and make sense given the show's context.
