3%: Brilliant sci-fi series from Brazil, something unlikely to come from the US.
The Long Long Holiday (originally "Les Grande Grande Vacances"): 10 episode animated series, about children's resistance movement in France during Nazi occupation.
The Expanse: Sci-fi series. Good article on why it resonates. (In US, on Syfy & Amazon Prime; in most countries on Netflix.)
Ah, noooo! Is it worth watching even if it ends a bit prematurely, or would it be more like getting cut off in the middle of a big cliffhanger with a billion plot lines dangling?
I always start with recomending the Sherlock series. It's simply the best show I have wached. I also really like Peaky Blinders, a show about a gang in Birmingham at around 1920 and (of course) Stranger Things.
The Magicians is a fun hipster partly-urban fantasy thing, has a lot of violence including r*pe though and the main character is an asshole and the world a bit depressing. Love the dialogue and lots of small things about it.
I don't know what you already like to watch, but if you liked Breaking Bad, I recommend Better Call Saul. Also good are Fargo, Stranger Things, 24, Westworld, Homeland, Mad Men, Orange is the New Black, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Modern Family, and Schitt's Creek.
Santa Clarita Diet! Super funny zombie show starring Drew Barrymore and Timothy Olyphant.
I loved Dirk Gently holistic detective agency.
What types of shows do you enjoy?
We just finished The OA and thought it was great!
If you like anime, I highly recommend Seven Deadly Sins. Superb animation, characters and story.
I really enjoyed Reign and the new show Netflix just put up there No tomorrow.
Oh, I've heard that's really good! How many seasons are there?
4 I believe. I loved it! I believe season 5 is coming out this month some time.
actually... I just looked it up.. everything I'm reading says it's going to be cancelled o.o don't start watching it if that's the case..

eh.. it's kinda a cliff hanger. There's a lot of relationships and battles that needed to be tied off.
Bummer. :(

Sherlock is so good
Sense8 (18+) of you like character driven stuff. (14 eps available)
Stranger Things is an excellent conspiracy mystery thriller. (8 eps)
Crazy ex-girlfriend - a bit cringe in parts, but very funny with GREAT songs.
Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries is a great detective show set in Australia in the 1920s (?) - I love the characters so much. (3 seasons)
The Crown, Santa Clarita Diet. Both lots of fun.
I started both. My boyfriend didn't want to watch the crown so I didn't ever watch more then like 10 minutes of it
Ah yes, the mens. The Crown is more about the sets (castles!) and the costumes, anyway.
You should really watch designated survivor!!

I recommend reading the trilogy too, which is far and away better than the show.
Orphan black!! Best tv show ever!!
Scream tv show or Riverdale
Parks and recreation, criminal minds, stranger things
One day at a time is a sitcom that netflix remade with Latina flair. I was hesitant to watch it, but instantly enjoyed it when I pressed play!
