Talk about your favorite shows and what is good on Netflix
Ok Guys What did you watch this weekend and what would you recommend?
I watched a couple episodes of Chuck with the wife. I am torn on it sometimes it's the funniest thing I have watched and then other time I expect to see a dog named Scooby Doo jump out and say "ok ragey". So I go from thinking this is amazing to man can this show just get over. Well, that's enough ranting on my part.
So what did you watch and what did you think about it?

I've been watching Traffic Light, a short-lived sitcom that aired on Fox in 2011. It's about three guys, one married with a kid, one who just moved in with his girlfriend, and one who prefers the single life. There's some decent acting (both main couples have excellent, natural-seeming chemistry) and the show is slightly more well-written than an average sitcom. It's nothing outstanding, but it's simple, light, and fun, and makes for really easy watching.
Sounds like a good setup for lots of fun interactions between the different people
Yep! The show features a number of discussions about adulthood and shifting priorities and such.
This sounds like exactly the kind of show I'm looking for right now. We usually rotate between a sci-fi or detective drama and a light sitcom, and the sitcom slot has been empty since we finished Kimmy Schmidt.
There are only 12-14 episodes, if I remember correctly, but it's definitely light enough to be a nice antidote to a more stressful detective drama :)
That sounds perfect! And alas, why are all the wonderful shows so short?
I'm in the middle of Star Trek: Deep Space 9. Oldie but a goodie, and improves drastically after the first couple seasons. I literally can't handle Odo walking onscreen right now without shouting "ODO WHY ARE YOU SO ADORABLE?!", which I'm like 99% sure Odo would not appreciate and which I'm 99% sure also makes me a very annoying person to watch television with.
LOL!!! I have thought about watching DS9 again. I haven't watched it since I was a kid. I am kinda afraid to go watch it and destroy my childhood nostalgia about the show. I made that mistake with sliders. It was a really sad day for me.
You're probably safe with DS9. The first couple seasons are awkward as the show figures out its footing, but then it gets legit fantastic.
Good to know.
That is the most accurate description of Chuck I have ever read.. I think because its such a bizarre combination of action and action parody, you can never tell when it is overusing a trope to be funny or because it keeps the action going or both (ie "stay in the car Chuck")
I watched "Team Foxcatcher" this weekend if anyone is into off-the-wall true crime documentaries. Its not as creepy as others but the story is told well.
I LOVE Chuck, but sometimes it does have it's odd moments. A show that you may enjoy is Psych, it's pretty funny and hardly gets too inappropriate. It's a fun mystery show that is definitely worth checking out.
