After Mudslides and Flooding in Iceland, Elves Are Suspects

When Siglufjordur, a small mountain town in northern Iceland, was hit by a series of storms last summer, construction workers clearing a roadway soon found themselves dodging mudslides and contending with a flooded river. A crew member was injured, then a bulldozer broke down.

    I love how both the quoted journalist and the officials try so very hard to fit into the rational & atheist discourse by making it seem like the rock was cleaned only to honor 'culture' and people's beliefs (always other people's, of course), when in reality everyone knows bloody well that the existence of elves in Iceland is a fact and they will fuck shit up when you piss them off.
