"Alternative facts": 1 in 5 American newspapers ignored the Women's March
On Jan. 21, an estimated 3.2 million Americans took to the streets for Women's March protests. Given the sheer scale of the protests, it would be reasonable to assume they led headlines across the US. In reality, a significant number of American newspapers chose not to feature the story on their Sunday front pages-a striking illustration of how "alternative facts"...

Sad!

I was surprised that apparently KSL, which is salt lake's (main?) local TV station, didn't mention monday's march at all last night, even though it got national attention on MSNBC.
It isn't like SLC has a ton of big news that would mean the march didn't deserve a mention.
Edit: Though I wonder how many of these local papers mentioned tend to only or primarily focus on local news?
This is how the press typically treats protests. They aren't really news unless there's some sort of violence, or huge numbers, or a liberal slant/bias (but only if the protest is against opposition, or can be used to mock them).
The last protest I observed there was only one reporter. He left after 10 minutes and didn't even shoot footage. There was literally a three sentence article in the online-only edition in one (of a couple dozen) local news source.
When there have been large, multiple-day protests here, they ignored all of the peaceful ones, the people that volunteered to be arrested, police intimidation, POLICE RAIDS, and press conferences held by those that were raided. Although they were still there every step of the way, nothing but a quick mention that there were protests, minor property damages, and a large arrest made it to any of the news outlets. If you weren't there, you would have no idea what really happened.
that's not much imo, could be worse
In San Diego we got more pages than the Inauguration did for the front section of the paper. But we are owned by exceedingly liberal la times.
