In Canada, a Direct Link Between Fracking and Earthquakes

In the debate over fracking of oil and gas wells, opponents often cite the risk that the process can set off nearby earthquakes. But scientists say that in the United States, fracking-induced earthquakes are not common.

    My family lives in Oklahoma. I lived there for 22 years and never once experienced an earthquake. Now there's several measurable earthquakes every MONTH.

    The state has funded studies trying to disprove the impact on fracking and earthquakes, but each study basically ends up saying "/shrug, yah...it's fracking's fault, guys." (No pun intended with the word fault). The state finally agreed that there might be an impact... MIGHT...

    SMH.

    Pretty mind boggling the ignorance we willingly choose to accept to uphold our worldview.

    I have zero faith that the incoming congressional leadership and incoming President in the United States will take this evidence from it's Northern neighbor seriously. Purely do to the special interest that back the majority party
