Officer accused of misconduct in Kinsey shooting faces no charges

An officer accused of misconduct after the shooting of an unarmed South Florida therapist who had his hands up will not face charges. Commander Emile Hollant was said to have made conflicting statements after his fellow officer opened fire at Charles Kinsey in a North Miami parking lot last month.

I can't make sense of the officer's actions. Correct me if I'm wrong - the officer shot a calm and cooperative person, who was unarmed, and lying down? And that after he shot this person more than once in the leg, the person asked politely, but in great bewilderment - why did you just shoot me?' ...did that person ever get a coherent response to that question? And was that person allowed to bleed out for an inappropriate period of time before getting first aid?

That officer is not fit for duty.

This is was a rare case where the person who got shot actually got first aid and into the hospital. But I think the officer who shot actually answered he was aiming for the autistic man with the toy truck.

Omg. At the autistic man! Horrible. I used to teach adults with support needs many years ago and can imagine how ordinary the moment at work was, before descending into this drama. Just another day. There he goes again with his favourite truck and then... :(
