Outsiders joining Conservative Party to save Tories from 'extremist' views

Though he's far from the picture of a card-carrying Conservative, urbanist Ryan McGreal has joined the Conservative party to vote in its 2017 leadership election - in what he says is an effort to save the Tories from "extremist views." And he's not alone.

    This is a pretty good tactical move and if it gets more people involved in politics, that's always a plus.
    When I read this article earlier, I found the headline made it seem as if a bunch of liberals were clandestinely joining the blue team. Somewhat disappointed that's not the case.
