Not only are we getting a new /3DS game in Harvest Moon: Skytree Village, it looks like Harvest Moon is set to debut on the Switch as well. And that's fantastiic!

It's interesting they reference the SNES. Because Harvest Moon is a different franchise now. Originally, Harvest Moon was the English version of Story of Seasons. But eventually Natsume decided to carry on making Harvest Moon titles and not translating Story of Seasons. I'm not sure which company decided on the split.
If I recall correctly, the SNES version was technically created by a different company, and it's sequels are called Story of Seasons.
I have not played either and have no opinion on the differences in approach. I'm not away of them, anyway. I hear the games are similar with a different approach of some type.
I was just amused at the SNES comment.
